Currently a New Jeruz resident, DanO was born and raised in Lagos City , Nigeria (The Kid from the Motherland) and moved to the states in 2004. With a vast array of musical influences, DanO is proficient with many different instruments (with a bias to piano and drums) and is far removed from being “just another rapper.”

In 2010, Dan attained a great response from fellow youtubers for a freestyle over Kanye West’s “So Appalled” and transitioned that momentum into his debut mixtape Verses & Hooks (which was released in 2011). 2012 saw DanO release a sequel Verses & Hooks 2 and performing at venues such as a Def Jam showcase and Brooklyn Nights where he opened up for Cory Gunz.

With the third installment of Verses & Hooks, DanO is back with more substance and versatility and after kicking things off with the Mike Zombie (of OVO) assisted visual for the lead single, “Million First Week,” from his recently released Verses & Hooks 3, DanO returns with a Buckwild produced gem “Paradise.”
