This is Foreign Legion. They are from Oakland, California. These two hip-hop vigilantes represent the wild wild west coast in everything they do. Their newest single, Son Of A Gun, is an all out showdown at the (insert so-so hand gesture) Just O.K. Rapper Corral for 2011. Prozack Turner and Marc Stretch are here to clean up this here town and they’re putting holes in every sub-par rap song in sight.
Benh Fannin was charged with trying to rein in all of the energy and imagery that Turner and Stretch spit out. By combining Foreign Legion’s pop culture, rapid-fire approach with his own A.D.D.-laden thrift shop technique, an epic mini-movie was born. The sound track is part Starsky & Hutch car chase and part Dolemite fight scene. The lyrics are blasts from a Dirty Harry hand cannon. Hey Bubblegum Music…. Do you feel lucky?

Quality Control artist Foreign Legion (Prozack Turner & Marc Stretch) teams up with Stones Throw artist Oh No on “Burning Bushes”, taken off the groups Red Eye Flight Mixtape. The mixtape drops next week and their full length album Night Moves on April 12th 2011.

Prozack Turner and Marc Stretch are Foreign Legion. Their debut album, Kidnapper Van (along with DJ Design) broke new ground for underground hip-hop and took playful shots at the industry and art that spawned them. Several tours around the world resulted in the party-driven Play Tight, soon after. The trio became a duo and next came The Secret Knock. An introspective, albeit brief, look into the minds of two musicians that still love the art of rhyme.
Guess what, good people? Good music is still alive and well, at least in the Bay Area. Foreign Legion returns with their newest original offering, Night Moves. The Oakland based duo took some time off after their previous release to work on various ventures, away from the group. They re-connected in the studio and the result is a 13 track opus that finds the group as focused and hungry as ever. Contributions from G Koop (Jake One, EA Ski), Rashaan Ahmad (Crown City Rockers), Grandpa J, Intr0Beatz, DJ Flip (ITFChampion) & DJ Buzz (Waxolutionists) help give the album a sound that is well worth listening to over and over. You don’t have to wait for the sun to go down make some Night Moves.

“Night Moves” drops April 12, 2011
“Oakland California hip hop legends Foreign Legion make their cinematic motion picture debut with “Night Moves”, the film to accompany the forthcoming album of the same name dropping April 12th on Hungerstrike Records/Quality Control Digital!
The storyline has Prozack Turner and Marc Stretch playing themselves in this dark comedy that will be screened only at live shows during the upcoming tour, so if you want to see it, you have to come to the concert. The story line has Turner and Stretch facing off with their antagonistic evil hip hop producer, (played by G Koop) in a battle of wits to retrieve their masters for the album.(Night Moves) Plenty of twists and turns along the way, as well as self deprecating humor that mirrors the current state of the crumbling music industry. Think “Curb Your Enthusiasm” meets “Beat Street” meets the Beastie Boys “Sabotage” video in what critics are already hailing as “a masterpiece of marketing genius and the true essence of a classic hip hop album interwoven to create the perfect marriage of film and music.”
Prozack Turner and Marc Stretch’s undeniable chemistry and movie star quality on screen are only a prelude to bigger things to come and rivaled only by the truth, the sheer brilliance of their own music which scores the film. Independent hip hoppers and mainstream rappers beware, the ante has been raised so high on this one that you might want to consider folding. Here is the trailer:”
