As Planet Asia returns from his trip to Africa, we thought it fitting to release the track “Thyself.” Since knowledge and wisdom produces understanding, Gensu Dean brought in some heavyweight friends, David Banner & Tragedy Khadafi, to drop jewels on listeners. Let Dean’s mystic production draw you into the zone, so that you can acknowledge the Gods speech. Know thyself.

Heaven’s Computer has landed. 7evenThirty’s concept opus has been having a steady effect on Earth’s atmosphere and its inhabitants are naturally being drawn to the other-worldly MC. At times and among some earthlings however, the presence of 7even draws misguided admiration or envious criticism. The electronic bounce of “GetUp!!!” aims to kill that noise.
With undulating synth lines and pounding drums courtesy of Erik L the track is already a banger even before we get a glimpse at the beautifully shot visual by director Erick Lee. Sliding into the Libertine Bar in Dallas and taking a seat next to The Grand Imperial Gensu Dean, 7even fires on all cylinders in this performance based video. The first two verses are dedicated to rumors and conjectures about who 7even is and who he’s not via fictitious haters and admirers. Before the tracks end 7even sets the record straight borrowing Jay Dilla’s flow from a Slum Village classic, schooling the ignorant and paying homage simultaneously. Whether artsy or hood, 7evenThirty has the skills and substance to render any MC stereotype dead.
For a true glimpse into the mind of 7evenThirty, check out the LP Heaven’s Computer — available now on Mello Music Group.
7evenThirty is coming to reset the game. The Jackson, Mississippi rhymer has meticulously crafted a sound that is equal parts Outkast and Bootcamp Click. For his Mello Music Group debut, Heaven’s Computer, 7even is pulling out all the stops with a cosmic concept album that is just as much about ripping apart wack MC’s as interplanetary conflict.
To celebrate this apocalyptic moment MMG & 7even are letting off the buckshot, “Twenty Twelve.” As the title alludes, the track sounds like a Mayan prediction on wax. 5D flips a gritty rock loop into a raw serving of monster music and 7evenThirty turns into Max Redrum, an outer-space rhymer with fangs sharpened who has “psychiatrists rockin’ 3-D goggles smoking peace pipes” trying to see what he thinks like.
Resistance is futile. Heaven’s Computer has crash-landed and can be found infiltrating physical and digital outlets everywhere. There is no escape.
