This time around Serge Severe has linked with up and coming Hip Hop producer 5th Sequence for the EP Boom Bap & Bars Vol. 1 available May 6th. The EP is a combination of 5th’s jazzy hard-hitting production and Severe’s razor tongue.

Severe is also out in Europe touring through several countries with Illmaculate, Goldini Bagwell, and DJ Spark of Sandpeople.

Illmaculate & LAWZ SPOKEN present a compelling new trailer for their upcoming video to “Substance Abuse” (Co-starring OnlyOne). This brief glimpse of the stunning, Artistic Outlet directed visuals helps set the tone for a spy vs. spy tale of two hitmen competing for the same targets. “Substance Abuse” will be the the second video from CHRON: Legacy and the second collaboration with Artistic Outlet; they also directed the previously released “Walk On Water (Fear Of God)” music video.

Illmaculate & Lawz Spoken – CHRON: Legacy (co-starring OnlyOne) [album]

It’s been two years since Sandpeople’s OnlyOne teamed up with producer Lawz Spoken on what Lawz describes as the “80′s drug drama/computer sci-fi” album, CHRON (available at http://lawzspoken.com) . To mark the 2nd anniversary of its release, battle veteran and fellow Sandpeople member Illmaculate presents the sequel, CHRON: Legacy. This time it’s Illmaculate in the lead role over Lawz Spoken’s gritty, dramatic production but OnlyOne “co-stars” on a majority of the album’s tracks (think Ghostface Killah on Only Built 4 Cuban Linx). Supporting-cast includes IAME, Goldini Bagwell, Cassow, and Epp.

Illmaculate “The Underworld (Fear Of God II) ft. OnlyOne [mp3]

With numerous albums and battle victories under his belt, St. John’s, Portland and Sandpeople representative Illmaculate continues to grind at a dizzying speed as he gears up to release a brand new project next week. CHRON: Legacy is the sequel to CHRON – the “80′s drug drama/computer sci-fi” themed album starring OnlyOne of Sandpeople and producer Lawz Spoken (available at http://lawzspoken.com). This time it’s Illmaculate in the lead role over Lawz Spoken’s gritty, dramatic production while OnlyOne “co-stars” on a majority of the album’s tracks à la classic Raekwon and Ghostface.

Following last week’s premiere of the video for “Walk On Water (Fear Of God)” (watch:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzZ5L7NITcs) comes the second single – a sequel in its own right – “The Underworld (Fear Of God II)” featuring OnlyOne. The “Fear of God” gets pushed to a darker meaning as Ill and Only trade murderous verses over Lawz’s cold-sweat inducing slumper.

In a strange twist of fate, that’s basically like one of our week recaps of selections come to life Illmaculate (whose latest video we selected on Wednesday) has taken it upon himself to record a new song over the first half of yesterday’s selection Black Milk‘s Demo Beats 2012.

Now normally, we’re against rappers taking liberties over uncleared beats, especially those released for free as a good gesture for the fans but in this case fuck it. We like it. (Sorry, Rosalinda!)
