THE THEME OF SUMMER 2011 IS “PARTY & BULLSHIT”. EACH YEAR IT GETS HOTTER AND HOTTER AND THE LADYS AT THE POOL GET WETTER AND WETTER. EVERYWHERE I’VE TRAVELED, I’VE MET NEW PEOPLE AND GOT TURNED ON TO GREAT TUNES. I SPENT A LOT OF TIME AN HOUR NORTH OF L.A. IN A CITY CALLED OXNARD CA. DURING MY 805 ADVENTURES, I WAS INTRODUCED TO AN UP AND COMING N.W.C. ARTIST BY THE NAME OF KLUTCH. AFTER BREAKING DOWN ALL THE PROJECTS THAT HE HAS ON DECK INCLUDING HIS SOLO ALBUM, PRODUCTION CREDS ON R.E.I.D.’S LP, AND VARIOUS MACHINA MUERTE PROJECTS, HE SLID ME A C.D. FULL OF BANGERS AND JOINTS THAT HE IS READY TO DROP. SINCE THEN I’VE BEEN BUMPING THE CD AND 1 TUNE IN PARTICULAR ENTITLED “SUMMERTIME” HAS BEEN MY SOUNDTRACK THROUGHOUT THIS SEASON AND GREAT WAY TO ENJOY THE HOT WEATHER AND INCREDIBLE TIMES. STRAYING AWAY FROM HIS USUAL HIP HOP RAP STYLES, KLUTCH LACES THE TRACK W/ LAYERED VOCALS OVER A SOULFUL BEAT PRODUCED BY ANGELO ARCE FOR L.I.G. PRODUCTIONS.
Filmed by Oliver Marshall & edited by Isaiah Toothtaker.
Beat produced by Mainframe. “Faith No More” is taken from the album “ILLUMINATI THUG MAFIA” on Machina Muerte records.
