The Black Opera have been busy as of late, in addition to a number of live shows including opening for Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge in Michigan, TBO has been back in the studio working on a new EP for Mello Music Group to hold fans over until the next full length for the group. Baltimore emcee Substantial released his Oddisee executive produced album Home Is Where The Art Is late last year and quickly garnered acccolades from his strong worldwide fan base. Since then, Substantial has toured with yU (of Diamond District), seen the vinyl release of his record, performed at the Smithsonian in DC, and released a wildly successful tribute album to Jill Scott titled “Jackin’ Jill”. Trek Life’s new album “Hometown Foreigner” is out everywhere now, but we wanted to take a moment to point out the mixtape DJ Rhettmatic of the world famous Beat Junkies put together featuring some of Trek’s greatest moments.
