Slot-A gets back in the lab doing what he does best – make beats. This time Chicago Director Noah Truth documents the whole process. Slot-A has produced for the likes of Add-2, Jamall Bufford, Neak, Scheme and more – watch as he gives access to his creative process.
Inspiration for ‘OPWAP’ came from the chemistry built from Esohel’s live shows that are assisted by his DJ, Ricky Dubs. After rocking shows together, the need to translate the live energy into a studio LP was inevitable. To solidify that, “On Purpose With A Purpose” was created. OPWAP brings a modern touch to the 90′s inspired hip-hop from Ricky Dub’s production accompanied by Esohel’s delivery of bravado, feel good, and conscience lyrics. Features include Nitty Scott,MC , Scheme, Astonish, Add-2, Neak, Vic Spencer, and DreamTek.
Scheme continues releasing music before his upcoming project with DJ Scend. The project is titled “Pesos Turn to Dollars” and it will be a mixture of both English and Spanish songs from Scheme. For now enjoy “Grown Man Smoke” which is a song Scheme recorded recently over production by SRNC’s own The Analyst.
