While we (The Soundmen) prepare for our official release of our first single through Dither Down Records (the video was shot this weekend with Clubhouse member and director Pace Rivers), we’ve been hard at work on other projects with P.SO, Voltaire Twins, Eric Arc Elliot, Jasmine Solano and more. Over the weekend we cooked up a fresh little Jamaican/HipHop flavored remix of Nelly Furtado’s “Big Hoops” single.

Wolf Gang & P.SO – Back To Back (The Soundmen Remix) *VIDEO*
10 05 2010Coming off of their critically acclaimed remix for “That Tree”, The Soundmen have remixed or rather re-interpolated Wolf Gang’s epic ballad “Back To Back”. Collaborating with AOK Collective MC P.SO, they re-created the song with introspective lyrics that bring the emotion of the original track to light with a hip-hop twist. For those of us in or who have had relationships that feel like everyone is trying to break you apart, this track is for you.

Fresh off of the success of the critically acclaimed Moontones, P.SO and the Soundmen return with another hit! Wolfgang’s new song “Back to Back” has taken the indie rock world by storm, quickly being added to playlists world wide. A introspective song about the trials of love, P.SO and the Soundmen decided to try their hand at a remix. The Soundmen have had great success with their Snoop Dogg/ Kid Cudi remix of “That Tree” (making top 20 on hypem.com) so it only made sense for them to collaborate with P.SO for this remix. Moontones – P.SO + The Soundmen

After a cricially acclaimed 2009 which included a string of classic performances, a nomination in the Urb 1000, and the release of his lauded “Earthtones” mixtape, P.SO is starting 2010 off with a trip out of this world. “Moontones” is the follow up to 2dopeboyz declared “masterpiece” Earthtones and will be released on Feb 24th for free download. The project is a collaboration between P.SO and up and coming producers The Soundmen, who have been making quite the buzz in 2009 as well with their project VeckaFlyest and multiple remixes which landed them on many best of 2009 lists. Moontones is a mixture of original material and genre-jumping remixes to showcase the unique chemistry and genre jumping sounds that PsO and The Soundmen have created together.
