Trackademicks unleashes a brand new remix for the Philly quartet Vacationer. If your asking yourself “who’s that?”, they’re a little elusive so we’ll let their bio explain…
Who or what is Vacationer? Really, it’s still something of a mystery. In a climate of overload where many projects have crazy back stories before good songs, Vacationer goes the opposite route and lets the music do the talking. “Gone,” which we do know was produced by two members of Body Language, is a serene, stoic indie pop song with pretty hooks, chiming guitar and synth counterpoints and a drum part that sounds like someone kicking rocks onto a train track while clapping hands.
Track transforms the album cut “Good As New” and adds his signature breeze, some slappin drums and some choice cuts from DJ Tap.10. The remix comes from Vacationer’s debut album Gone out now on Downtown Records.
