88-Keys teamed up with producers Skin & bones, Chris Chu of The Morning Benders & Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic, Talking Heads) for a brand new track titled “Lemonade.”

“Lemonade” is a nod to Slave era funk and R&B while incorporating lovelorn vocals by indie rock singer Chris Chu of The Morning Benders and verses by 88-keys. Skin recounts Chris Chu’s initial reaction to the track. “Chris heard that shit and immediately wanted to get freaky. He laid down vocals on the spot with no hesitation.” Serendipitously It just so happens that 88-keys is a massive fan of The Morning Benders, which made collaboration inevitable. Top it all off with a little synthesizer love from the Godfather of funk Bernie Worrell and what do you have? A dope taste of new and old school; a rare gem in this day and age.
