This month, NYC hip-hop artist Orrin is releasing four new singles–one a week during the month of December. Originally the tracks were recorded for the LP, Nocturnal, but they didn’t make the final cut.

“They tell part of the story of Nocturnal though,” says Orrin. The second in the series, “‘Canopy” is the come down after the high of “Deeper,” a song in which lust is the focal point between Orrin and an imaginary person. “It reminds me of a forest canopy,” ads Orrin, “with birds chirping and the mist trivializing my consumption.

Nocturnal will be released January 7, 2013.
