Grab yourself a can of glass soda!

In 2023, Lt Headtrip teamed up with Melbourne producer DOS4GW to create Tap on the Glass, “an album for the end of all summers, when the black clouds roll in and you just want to yell by yourself in frustration with the world” (Scratched Vinyl). Now, two years later, as the world smolders, Headtrip blends his aggressive, unsettling lyrics with an early inspiration, the focused mess of Pork Soda. The Wire Magazine calls Tap on the Glass “a densely packed behemoth that insists on playback at the loudest volume. Headtrip has a voice that would leave any lightweight instrumental in tatters,” and Primus’ surreal metal-funk provides an uncanny dystopian landscape for that voice. Simultaneously prescient and paranoid, unserious and urgent, Glass Soda is an unlikely pairing that fits together eerily well, built out of Headtrip’s admiration for Primus’ irreverent, quirky aesthetic and mutual a disgust with the status quo.
