The Other Guys – Summer ‘92 | instrumental album

Following their critically acclaimed collaboration with Skyzoo (The Mind of a Saint) and ahead of their upcoming joint album with Che Noir (dropping August 29), production duo The Other Guys return with a deeply personal instrumental release: Summer ’92.

The project serves as a tribute to the duo’s fathers — both of whom appear on the cover. Mighty Joe’s father passed last year from dementia, and the album became a way of processing that loss.

“This one’s for my father. And Isaiah’s,” says Mighty Joe of The Other Guys. “Digging through records, looping emotions, remembering his voice… Summer ’92 is what it sounds like to grieve, to reflect, and to hold on while letting go.”

Built from warm samples, dusty drums, and soulful loops, Summer ’92 captures the feeling of childhood summers, fatherly presence, and the quiet weight of memory. It’s as nostalgic as it is healing — a record you feel as much as hear.

Summer ’92 is available now on Bandcamp, Digitally and Limited Edition Cassette Tape
