In 2016 Jeremiah Jae hit me with a beat pack. I had been a fan of his music for some time and was geeked to collab. We recorded a few records in two sessions in South shore on the southside of Chicago. My verses were all written the day of recording to keep a present feel of the times, and vibes I was experiencing. I feel this is a darker texture in contrast to my current work, but it reminds me of my early days as a MC with bravado and a lot to say about the times. A few months later I hit up some of the homies to jump on the last few beats with me, to round out the project. I thought I had lost these songs as my laptop died shortly thereafter, but luckily, I was able to salvage a few songs and beats some years later when I put the hard drive in a new encasement. I recently got them all mastered, and I couldn’t wait to share them with you. Enjoy The Hawk, play it loud!!!!
