Zilla Rocca – Easy Street Mixtape

Before the album “FAST EDDIE” drops, we have the “Easy Street Mixtape”!
This is Zilla Rocca’s third official mixtape, starting with 2008’s “Bring Me the Head of Zilla Rocca” and 2013’s “Neo Noir”.
But it’s 2025 so why the hell is this mixtape here?
Well, something is missing when the communal hot beats all rappers and DJs would get busy on have been mothballed for the ongoing inventory of brand spanking new projects dropping on a weekly basis.
That’s cool and all, but can you spit crazily on “We Gone Make It”, “Vital Nerve”, or “Paparazzi”? How does your acapella sound over Das EFX’s “Real Hip Hop” or GZA’s “Shadowboxin”?
The incomparable DJ Chong Wizard blends classic beats with highlights from Zilla Rocca’s recent run on “Vegas Vic”, “Don’t Wait For Me to Leave”, and Midnight Sons to remind suckas how deep his mixtape roots go.
The albums are where the concepts, the vulnerabilities, and the thoughtful songwriting go. But this tape is all gas, with bars of fury from Zilla Rocca and the best of the best going right now in indie rap: Defcee, Milc, ALASKA, Fatboi Sharif, Rich Jones, Jesse the Tree, Alex Ludovico, AJ Suede, andrew and Brian Ennals!
