I wrote this during a really heavy season of life. I was dealing with the loss of my mother, fighting depression, wishing I was a better person, and trying to be a father that loves my children for who they are. There were a lot of moments I didn’t understand what God was doing or why things were happening the way they were.

This song isn’t me pretending to have answers.
It’s me holding onto faith anyway.

I also talk about something Christians don’t always handle well — how quickly we judge people instead of loving them. Scripture teaches us that God loved us first, and I believe we’re called to show that same patience, compassion, and grace to others even when life gets complicated.

Sometimes the silver lining isn’t that life suddenly gets easier.
Sometimes it’s realizing God is still present while you’re walking through it.
