The album emerged from a creative partnership between Supreme Cerebral — a long-standing figure in the West Coast underground hip-hop scene — and DirtyDiggs, who handled much of the production landscape. Supreme Cerebral, known for his dense lyricism and dedication to classic rap traditions, anchored the project with his distinctive flow, while DirtyDiggs provided a production foundation blending gritty loops, dusty drums, and atmospheric textures.

Although independently released, Dirty Cerebral carved out its own space among fans of underground rap through word-of-mouth and digital platforms. Singles like “Raunchy Scripts” were used ahead of the full LP to build anticipation and showcase the chemistry between the emcee and the producer.
