After a brief hiatus, FRSH SLCTS is officially back at it today –
& this time w/ an exclusive premiere of a lost remix that Bay Area multi-funkstramentalist, Teeko
did last year for the most recent Bilal album.

At the time, Plug Research were compiling a remix album for the Airtight’s Revenge LP,
& had reached out to Teeko to add his twist to the album’s opener, “Cake & Eat It Too.”
Teeko obliged, & quite frankly – smashed it w/ his slumpish, crescendoing “Re-Funk” of the track.

Plug Researched ended up scrapping the plans for the remix album altogether,
but still urged Teeko to release his remix on his own, noting that it was one of their favorite tracks turned in for the project –
so today, we do just that.

On the brink of new releases w/ two of his groups,
both the synth-funk collective Starship Connection w/ co-captain B. Bravo,
& the rotating assembly jam band, MUGPUSH –
Teeko wanted to let this one go today as a pre-cursor of what’s to come this summer & beyond.
