Statik Selektah – Something Special ft. Termanology [mp3]

East Coast producer Statik Selektah has released numerous cuts with fellow 1982 crew member Termanology, but he hasn’t whipped up Something Special of his own in quite awhile. Enter Something Special, which also happens to feature fellow Bostonian Termanology and will serve as the first cut from Statik’s forthcoming solo album, Extended Play. In addition to his other half from 1982, the producer recruits Massachusetts spitter Ea$y Money, both of whom provide boastful guest verses. Statik keeps the production pretty close to his sonic vest, while also adding a number of unexpected elements to Something Special including a sample from 50 Cent’s She Wants It. A release date has yet to be announced for the beatsmith’s Extended Play album, but we will be sure to update you when that time comes.
