After letting the public hear a couple of “leaks” , “Looking At The City” and the excellent ” Ready For Me” Golden & Kidd Called Quest prove that their previous joints together wasn’t just a fluke or even a one time thing. ” Soul For Sale” is another dope team up ( leading to their upcoming album P.M.S.) as Golden kicks lyrics about peeps basically fronting to get a deal or to be noticed in the industry over Quest’s boom bap production which is accompanied by lush strings creating a tight soundscape . Some rappers might get offended but she spits a lot of truth.. while some MC’s lie about their pasts “just to get money & fame”… A head knodding thoughtful single ..
