Well its official, PDX trio TxE’s long awaited “Vs PRTLND” project finally has a release date! Available January 21st, producer Calvin Valentine and rappers Tope x Epp go into uncharted teritories with their new project, sampling 9 different Portland rock bands while redefining the sonic rules to rap coming out of the Rose City.

For their latest endeavor, TxE samples the popular Polyvinyl recording artists, Starfucker. First linked up through PDX Pop Now! festival and later Rigsketball, an annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament featuring select Portland bands – Valentine reworks “Pop Song” a popular Starfucker song from their first album while Epp and Tope work their magic over a break beat giving the sample some new life.
