Mega Ran (Random) – The Philadelphia Way (PRODUCED BY MUSTINâ„¢) [mp3]

As anyone who’s lived in Philly long enough knows, life as a fan of Philadelphia sports teams is full of ups and downs, and mostly downs. With the 76ers tanking, the Phillies and Flyers going nowhere for a while, and recent key injuries to a few Eagles, despite a great start, this season may shape up to be similar to most.

Philly born former teacher Raheem Jarbo, who records hip-hop under the name Mega Ran, perhaps best known for his “Jeremy Lin Rap” that hit scored viral success plus ESPN, USA Today coverage in 2012, is back with a new track that’s less celebratory, but just as heartfelt.

With references to The Curse of Billy Penn, Allen Iverson’s famous “Practice” rant, the demolition of Veterans Stadium and the 2008 Phillies World Series team, and a backing beat comprised of Bill Conti’s famous “Gonna Fly Now,” this rap song is sure to make the average Philly sports fan feel good, or maybe want to fight.

Ran is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to distribute his documentary and new album, information on that is here:
