Olympia, Washington-based artist Heddie Leonne is an enigmatic figure with a uniquely seductive style, merging her playful attitude with intelligent and sometimes cryptic lyrics. Her creative prowess is showcased in “Good Bad Girl”, her contribution to All Your Friend’s Friends – a Northwest hip hop compilation produced entirely off of samples pulled from the catalog of legendary indie-label K records. The album was masterfully produced by Smoke M2D6 and features 30 of the freshest MCs from the region, including members of mega-crews Sandpeople and Oldominion.

On “Good Bad Girl” Heddie Leonne’s sultry vocal styles slide effortlessly between double time rhymes and haunting melodies over a beat constructed from Calvin Johnson’s “I Am Without.” The accompanying music video, courtesy of Newspin Films, has a noir feel and is a sexy, dark depiction of a woman working her mysterious magic.
