Bay Area producer/instrumentalist, Mars Today, shares another track from his upcoming instrumental album “AWAKE” for the song “Honor.”

Established as a jack-of-all-trades in the Bay Area music community, Mars Today has been paying dues in the studio with the likes of Zion I, Collie Buddz, Los Rakas, sayknowledge, and more but now focusing on his solo work as a producer.

Mars Today shared some words in regards to today’s song preview for “Honor.”

Lost somewhere between lo & hi-fi, this joint is meant to conjure up images of dark forests, and stormy coastlines. It, along with all of the songs on the forthcoming instrumental album (Awake) feature vocal samples from Mooji, who un-officially guides the listener toward deeper thought & contemplation. It is music specifically designed to squash the ego, “meditational-slap” if you will.
