Fredericksburg, Virginia producer Logic Marselis is kicking 2018 off with the first of many releases from the MGNTK collective with “Super Audio WORLD”. As always the Madlib inspired producer takes his listeners on a adventurous sound journey showcasing free-form chops, hard hitting drums and unpredictable loops. “44” sounds like as if the talented producer was asked to score for a Mario game and it’s yoshi level, as the vibes are very bright with the layered drums being hard hitting as expected. The standout instrumental on this album is the super hero themed “World”. He brings in a soulful sample, throwing a low end theory filter in the beginning of the beat to bring listeners to an anticipation of boom bap goodness that would make Nottz proud. “Super Audio WORLD” is one of those pieces of work that is enjoyable and has an excellent amount of replay value.
