Aan – Black Hole | audio

Multi-dimensional art-rock explorers, Aan, return to Fresh Selects with a brand new single – the first output of new music from the Portland band since 2019’s beautifully eruptive ‘Losing My Shadow’ LP.

“Black Hole” is a gateway portal jettisoning us towards what’s to come for this next phase of the band. Expanded in both scope and size to now a full six-piece ensemble, the indie scene veterans wrote & recorded their way through the near-apocalyptic feel of 2020’s pandemic and orange-skyed wildfires that spread across the entire US West Coast – and for Aan frontman, Bud Wilson, came terrifyingly too close to home, surrounding his family’s farm just outside of Portland.

With enough layered detail and addictive melody sprinkled within its boundless soundscape for us all to traverse through for the time being, we can still confirm reports that on the other side of this particular anomaly in space and time, just so happens to be ‘Over The Mountain’ – an incredible body of work that we cannot wait to share with the world in 2024.

Stay tuned…
