“this is a thank you letter to my hometown of Ossining, NY. i had seen the Brazilian maestros, Joao Dontato (RIP) & Arthur Verocai, in concert in the summer of 2019, thru the ‘Jazz is Dead’ concert series. extremely inspired, i took that energy & wrote this song. i say thank you in portuguese, japanese, spanish, german, italian, korean, hebrew, arabic, russian, english, slovak, mandarin & polish, in that order!”
