ullnevano x philth spector – Yellow Jackets (feat. DJ illMEASURED)

Baltimore, MD — Continuing his run of concept-driven releases, Baltimore emcee UllNevaNo teams up with Philadelphia-based producer Philth Spector for a gritty new collaborative project titled STEPHON BARBURY. Known within the Flip-A-Beat Club community and fresh off his collaboration with Denver emcee Teller Bank$ (Hate Island), Philth Spector brings a raw, sample-heavy soundscape that perfectly complements UllNevaNo’s sharp lyricism.

The project’s first single, “Yellow Jackets,” features cuts by Maryland’s own DJ IllMeasured and serves as an unapologetic introduction to the duo’s sonic world—grimy loops, dusty samples, and unfiltered bars. Inspired by the energy of Wu-Tang Clan’s “Triumph,” the track channels that same aggressive, cypher-style intensity.

The title Yellow Jackets carries layered meaning—paying homage to Stephon Marbury’s high school in Georgia while symbolizing the track’s lyrical sting. UllNevaNo delivers with piercing lines like: “Rather get a buzz poking a hornet’s nest,” embodying the track’s fearless tone. Meanwhile, DJ IllMeasured’s precise cuts slice through the production, adding a dynamic element that keeps listeners locked in from start to finish.
