His upcoming project “LA” encapsulates that artistic identity, paying homage to classic West Coast sonics while painting a layered portrait of life in the City of Angels. Set for release this September, the collection is entirely produced by Oakland beat technician Sndtrak, a member of 9th Wonder’s production collective The Soul Council. Reframing sunshine and palm trees in stark black-and-white, this video for the hypnotic title track captures an unvarnished urban reality lurking just beyond the Hollywood glamour.
