In every hood there’s the late night food spot where the hustlers, gamblers, strippers, late shift workers, pimps and even fiends find themselves reflecting on their life and times. That place for Rasheed was “Banana King On Broadway”. A local eatery where many a late night escapade was recapped and new plan hatched.
Rasheed uses the laid back tempo of Kenny’s haunting and cinematic production to vividly illustrate the comings and going ons in his beloved hometown. If we are truly shaped in our youth then Rasheed was designed to be the voice of the voiceless.
Recruiting the legendary DJ Scratch to bring that added touch of grittiness to this already asphalt laced track. This is the fourth collaboration of this trio, each one as dope as the last and leaves the listener wanting another. Once again the visual brilliance is brought to you by foundationDIGITAL Films.
The life they breathe into every piece of cinema they have created with Rasheed & dope on this project has been truly remarkable. This is the 6th visual they have contributed to this stellar project. Look out for the cameos of some of the indie scenes finest, AG Da Coroner, Pearl Gates & Kiamo. To know a man you must know his story, take a peek into the pages that made Rasheed Chappell.
