Californian producer Freddie Joachim shares his full length LP ‘Beyond The Sea of Trees’, to be released on May 24th via Jakarta Records.
After teasing the album with the ‘Backyards (ft Natalie Oliveri)’ and ‘Serenade’ single releases, Freddie Joachim shares his full length instrumental, jazz influenced hip hop record. With nods to the 90’s Golden Era of east-coast US hip hop, the album features 16 beats showcasing the producer’s polished production style.
Growing up as an avid listener and collector of music, Freddie Joachim began djing in the mid 90’s, which progressed into recording and producing his own music. Since then, he has produced music featuring the likes of J.Cole, Joey Bada$$, Aloe Blacc, Blu, Grap Luva, LMNO, Kev Brown, and more. He has performed around the world, headlining shows in Asia, South Africa, Europe, and North America, sharing the stage with artists such as, Jean Grae, Joss Stone, Jimmy Cliff, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (ATCQ), Teeko, DJ Babu, Rakaa Iriscience, Bobbito, Scoop Deville, Blu, Choice37, and others.
Freddie gained worldwide notoriety through his work with Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ with their single ‘Waves’. Renowned rapper J.Cole later picked up the same instrumental for his ‘False Prophets’ release.
Over the past 15 years Freddie has remained prolific, releasing albums and singles, the majority of which with San Francisco based label, Mellow Orange. His signature jazzy and soulful sound can be heard across all of his releases. And as Freddie grows and matures, so does his music. This is particularly evident in his latest release, ‘Beyond The Sea of Trees’, with German based, Jakarta Records. The album is another instrumental endeavor by Freddie, featuring artists including FloFilz, Elijah Fox, and Natalie Oliveri.
