Inspired by the Jeremy Okai Davis painting on the cover art, the bulk of these tracks were produced and inspired by quotes from favorite musicians, artists, public figures, authors, and other folks who talk about what it means to be alive, to constantly evolve, and to always be working on something greater. The abstract painting speaks to the way the samples are chopped up on the album, how things are re-arranged, reinvented, and change, but still make for a cohesive body of work.
