Five years ago, we released Golden Browne, an album that took HiPNOTT Records in a different direction. To celebrate its anniversary, we’re revisiting the group’s debut with a deluxe edition featuring five new tracks.

Golden Browne brings together vocalist and songwriter Jenna Camille and production trio Columbia Nights. The group connected through Washington, D.C.’s independent music scene, where listening sessions and a shared love of ’70s soul and ’90s R&B laid the foundation for their first album.

Columbia Nights members John E Daise, Jason “BrotherSpanky” Edwards and Hayling Price bring together breakbeats, vintage synthesizers and live instrumentation, with Jenna’s voice and personal songwriting at the center. Following their Bright Moments series of quarantine jams, the group released their debut through HiPNOTT Records in September 2021.

We wanted to share something different when we first put this record out, and it still holds a special place in our catalog. Thank you to everyone who supported it from the beginning, and to those discovering Golden Browne for the first time.
